FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982
Tomorrow a long-awaited Belarusian Clasico will take place. "Dinamo-Minsk" will play against BATE. On the eve of Labor Day 1982, Dinamo also hosted a very principal opponent - "Zenit" from Leningrad.
On April 26, it was only 7 degrees Celsius in Minsk and it was pouring rain, but this did not prevent the gathering of nearly 15,000 fans in the stands.
Dinamo played this game with the following line-up: Viarheenka, Trukhan, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Shishkin, Prakapenka (Zyhmantovich, 65), Aleinikau, Pudysheu, Melnikau, Hurynovich, Kandratsieu (Vasileuski, 72). The coach had to rebuild the game due to the absence of injured Barouski and Hotsmanau. Thus, Shishkin took a place on the flank of the defense, giving way to Yanusheuski in the center. Aleinikau advanced to the middle line, and, most importantly, the captain of the team, Pudysheu made his first appearance on the field. All these measures were intended to strengthen the attack.
Dinamo started the match with massive attacks. Minsk had an obvious predominance in ball possession. But due to the hard weather conditions the game with a large number of passes, preferred by Dinamo, did not go well. And the ball stubbornly did not go into the goal. On the 27th minute Hurinovich hit the post, on the 28th Prakapenka - shoots right into the hands of the guests' goalkeeper - Birukou. Then Pudyshau hits the crossbar. At the very beginning of the second half, Kandratsieu also failed to score. Dinamo continuously attacked, but to no avail.
A tough fight ended in a draw. The teams earned one point each and now the standings looked like this:
Dinamo waited for an away match in Moscow against CSKA.
