FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982

On May 22, Dinamo is preparing to host a team from Vitebsk at its home stadium as part of Round 9 of the Belarusian championship. And in the USSR Championship in 1982, 11 rounds had already been played by this time. In the last round Dinamo hosted Kuban from Krasnadar. On May 16, almost 24,000 spectators attended the match.

Kuban to this day was in the lead in the championship both in terms of goals scored (16) and goals conceded (16). It was clear that the opponent was unpredictable.

Dinamo started with the following lineup: Kurbyka, Trukhan, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Rumbutsis, Prakapenka, Hotsmanau, Pudyshau, Aleinikau, Hurynovich (Sokal, 70), Kandratsieu (Zyhmantovich, 55).

The guests immediately pulled into a dead defense and spent almost all 90 minutes defending their goals. Kurnenin, Aleinikau, Rumbutsis, Hotsmanau had their attempts to score, there was a dangerous free kick in the performance of Pudyshau. Already in the 8th minute, after a graceful two-move by Prakapenka - Hurynovich, the forward missed. In the 70th minute, the goalkeeper of Kuban showed an amazing reaction, saving the ball sent by Hurynovich under the crossbar from close range. In general, Dinamo players had more opportunities to open the score, however, in the final phases of the attacks, they often showed haste and did not accurately hit the goal.

At the end of the match, Dinamo began to rush, as a result, to make mistakes and the game even leveled off, and the attacks turned towards our goal. Four minutes before the end of the match there was a dangerous shot on goal of Dinamo. Ploshnik was able to take possession of the ball and suddenly struck from eight meters, but slightly inaccurate.

The result of the match: goalless draw. Having lost points, Dinamo left the first line of the standings:

In order to take revenge, Dinamo threw all their efforts into preparing for the next match: on May 23 against Shakhtar Donetsk.
