FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982

11.09.2022

On September 8, Dinamo-Minsk hosted CSKA from Moscow at their home arena. 35,000 spectators gathered to see the game. It was a match between the leader and the outsider of the standings.

Dinamo played with the following line-up: Viarheenka, Barouski, Kurnenin (Bialou, 87), Yanusheuski, Trukhan, Prakapenka, Hotsmanau (Zyhmantovich, 65), Pudyshau, Aleinikau, Hurynovich, Kandratsieu.

In the first minutes it was an equal game. CSKA managed to deliver the first shot on goal and had the opportunity to open the score in the 10th minute, in the 20th minute Chasnakou, taking advantage of the mistake of the Dinamo defenders, went one on one with Viarheenka, and only the brilliant action of the goalkeeper saved Dinamo from a goal - the ball hit the post.

And then the initiative completely passed to the Dinamo team. Minsk launched a variety of attacks, pinning down CSKA to their goals. However, none of the attacks ended with a goal: the 23rd minute of the match - Aleinikau misses the empty net from eight meters; 25th minute - the ball after the blow from Pudyshau hits the post; 27th minute - a desperate struggle in the goalkeeper's area, and again, the ball misses the target. Finally, Dinamo got its chance. CSKA made a foul close to its goals. Pudyshau took a free-kick, goalkeeper Navikau reflected the ball and Kandratsieu was the first on the bounce sending the ball closer to the goal where Prakapenka headed it into the net.

The beginning of the second half was also won by Dinamo. It seemed that Minsk is about to increase the advantage. Hurinovich was especially close to this, but his header was slightly inaccurate. And then Yanushevski and Trukhan made a grossly mistaken. They left Tarkhanau unattended and freely deliver an aimed shot on goal. Viarheenka was unable to save. The ball hit the very corner of the goal.

Dinamo intensified its pressure after a missed ball. But still with no luck. Hurynovich, Kandratsieu, Aleinikau missed their chances. Unfortunately, the blue-whites failed to change the score before the final whistle. At the end of the match, there was another dangerous moment at the Dinamo goal.  Panamarou almost brought CSKA forward - the ball after his powerful blow flew a few centimeters from the net.

A 1:1 draw gave Dinamo's pursuers an opportunity to get closer to the leader in the standings.

In the next round, Dinamo again hosted Moscow team at home, this time Torpedo.
