FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982

On October 17, our team met on the road with "Torpedo" from Kutaisi. The previous match with this opponent ended with the score 3:2 in favor of Dinamo.

Malafeeu used the following starting: Viarheenka, Barouski, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Trukhan, Prakapenka, Hotsmanau, Pudyshau, Rumbutsis (Vasileuski, 64), Hurynovich (Bialou, 88), Zyhmantovich.

The match started with a sharp struggle. The home team tried to seize the initiative with aggressive attacks. In the first minutes Kutaisi delivered three corners and created a number of dangerous situations. In one of the episodes when the ball ricocheted off the Dinamo defenders and ended up at the main scorer of the Torpedo team - Megreladze. But he hesitated a little, and Viarheenka eliminated the threat with a bold throw at his feet. In general, Minsk defense played rather confidently under the leadership of the experienced Barouski. At the same time Dinamo used every opportunity to counterattack. Our team created excellent scoring opportunities, but failed to deliver an accurate final blow.

In one of the counterattacks Dinamo managed to send the ball into the net. In the 35th minute, Hotsmanau finished off the ball that bounced off the goalkeeper. However, the referee canceled this goal.

In the second half, both teams could succeed. In the 64th minute, Malafeeu released a striker instead of a midfielder - Rumbutsis was replaced by Vasileuski. And then Torpedo players got the right to a free kick from 20 meters. But Viarheenka played perfectly. Minsk, in turn, also missed several opportunities to score. Vasileuski shot along the goal, but Prakapenka missed the target from 2-3 meters. Then Hotsmanau, having beaten the goalkeeper, and being 6-7 meters from the empty goal decided to pass to the center of the goalkeeper's area, where the opponents intercepted the ball.

The result of the match is 0:0. But it was a real fighting draw.
