YURY MALEEU. POST-MATCH COMMENTS

14.03.2022

Yury Ivanavich, congratulations on your victory and winning the second Super Cup in the history of the team. Let's traditionally start with your first impressions of the game.

- Many thanks. First of all, of course, I will say that I am pleased with the victory. If we talk about the game itself, then it is important to consider that we approached the Super Cup after a inappropriate pre-season. Just a few days ago, we finally managed to assemble the whole team. Only two friendly matches were played by the girls in winter. This, of course, is not enough. Training is training, but when there is no game tonus, both team interaction and physical performance disappear. You can train for a long time, but if you can’t stand the game for 90 minutes, it will be very difficult to show good result. But, again, I'm happy with the result.

Just recently the legionnaires of our team returned, it took a lot of time for the players to arrive at the location of Dinamo-BSUPC. How do the girls feel at the moment and in what game conditions are they?

- Only four days ago they returned. Plus, you need to take into account that legionnaires always need another 1-2 days of rest after flights. In principle, I am satisfied with everyone. You just need to remember that the team is a single unit and if someone drops out, it immediately noticeable. However, once again I will say that I have no questions for the players.

For quite a long time in this match the team played without substitutions, only at the end of the second half Krystsina Tsikhavodava and Darya Stsiazhko appeared on the field. Is this due to the fact that there was no need for replacements, or did you still not want to take risks?

- You know, both. If we had played more games in the off-season, I think I would have let the girls in and they would have played. But, as you remember, only two matches were played in February by the squad that we had. There is a fear to "break "the girls, I will not hide.

How would you rate the performance of our opponent, FC "Minsk"? In two weeks, #GirlsDerby awaits us again, only now as part of the Women's League 2022...

- In general, the team has strengthened, our girls have replenished their roster. "Minsk" felt confident, they played matches against the Moscow "Locomotive" during the pre-season and had an advantage over us in terms of play. But I can not say that I saw something supernatural.

If it's not a secret, do you feel that this is the sixth trophy that the team has won under your leadership?

To be honest, I don't count them. As a coach, I care about the process, how the game is set, the progress of the players and, accordingly, the progress of the whole team. It is most important. Although trophies are never enough (smiles).
