FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982

There is now an international pause in the Belarusian championship. Almost at the same time the pause happened 40 years ago because of the World Championship in Spain. But before the break our team had 3 matches: against Shakhter from Danetsk, Metalist from Kharkiv and Dnepr from Dneprapiatrousk.

At home, on May 23, Dinamo hosted a team from Danetsk with the following line-up: Viarheenka, Trukhan, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Shyshkin, Prakapenka, Hotsmanau (Vasileuski, 75), Pudyshau, Rumbutsis, Hurynovich (Melnikau, 52), Kandratsieu.

By that time, Shakhter was the only team in the Premier league that had not yet won a single victory that season and was in the last line of the standings. Dinamo immediately went ahead and demonstrated their attacking style of game. And two goals followed one after another. First, on the 20th minute, Prakapenka sharply transferred the ball to the right flank, Hotsmanau immediately redirected it to Kandratsieu. Shakhter's defenders simply couldn't keep up with the movements across the field. So our young striker scored his first goal in the Champioship with his head. A minute later, Prakapenka, having received the ball from Kurnenin, scored his fifth goal with a long-range shot.

At the beginning of the second half, some negligence appeared in the actions of the Dinamo defenders. Perhaps the players relaxed because of the comfortable score. But the opponent could not take advantage of this situation. And in the 73rd minute Kandratsieu sent the third ball to the net and the second one for himself in this match.

The result - 3:0 and the second line of the standings with a difference of two matches with the leader - "Ararat". The coaching staff had to solve the problem of replacing Trukhan in the next match. He received a second yellow.

On May 29, the team played on the road - in Kharkiv. The coach determined the following lineup: Kurbyka, Bialou, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Shyshkin, Prakapenka, Hotsmanau, Pudyshau, Rumbutsis, Hurynovich (Vasileuski, 57), Kandratsieu. Bialou replaced Trukhan.

The hosts rushed to the attack from the first minutes, and already in the 10th minute there was the first dangerous episode at the Dinamo goals. At the 18th minute the situation repeated. But these 2 times Kurbyka saved the team. After 30th minute of the match some dangerous moments appeared at the goals of Metalist. In the 32nd minute, Kandratsieu accurately hit from nine meters, in the 37th - Hotsmanau had a chance. Goalkeeper was good both times. During the first 45 minutes there were 6 corners against Kharkiv team, and two against Dinamo. But before the break, the score was unchanged and it kept until the 80th minute, and then the score began to change almost every minute! First, Kandratsieu, having received a cross from Hotsmanau, caught some inconsistency in the game of the Kharkiv defenders and took advantage of it. And immediately Metalist pressed Dinamo to their goals. The first hit was saved by Kurbyka, but after a few seconds the hosts still pushed it into the net and leveled the score. In the 83rd minute, after breaking the rules by Dinamo, Metalist took advantage of the confusion at our goals and scored the winning goal.

The result of the match: 2:1 and Dinamo let the second line of the standings to Metalist.

The last match before the big international break for Dinamo-Minsk took place in Dneprapiatrousk on June 1. Lineup: Viarheenka, Bialou, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Shyshkin (Melnikau, 43), Prakapenka, Hotsmanau, Pudyshau, Rumbutsis, Kandratsieu, Vasileuski. Hurynovich joined Aleinikau and Zyhmantovich, who left for the youth national team, Barouski was preparing for the World Cup with the main national team, Trukhan missed due to injury.

In general, during all 90 minutes, the advantage of Dinamo was noticeable. At the 10th minute, the captain opened the score. Then, in the 29th minute, Dinamo played rough, Yanusheuski and Hotsmanau received yellow cards. A free kick was awarded. The attention of Dinamo defenders was focused on one player, and the ball was sent to a completely different one - Liuty, and he scored a goal into an empty net.

In the 74th minute, Prakapenka scores from Kurnenin's pass. And Kandratsieu scored the last goal a few seconds before the final whistle. It seemed that the score 2:1 should suit Dinamo. But the striker stopped the ball at the very line, shot on goal and changed the numbers on the scoreboard. 3:1 in our favor. And the first line of the standings - excellent result before the pause.
