FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982

30.07.2022

Today we will go with the team on the road. First to Kyiv. On July 20, 1982, a match against local Dinamo took place. Dinamo Kyiv were last year's champions.

Dinamo-Minsk lineup: Kurbyko (Viarheenka, 76), Barouski, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Trukhan, Prakapenka, Hotsmanau, Pudyshau, Aleinikau, Hurynovich (Rumbutsis, 89), Kandratsieu.

In the first half, Minsk had a number of opportunities to open the score. However, both Aleinikau and Prakapenka lost their duels to the Kyiv goalkeeper. Before the break, the Kyivans had only one sharp moment - on the 24th minute, Biassonau dangerously shot on goal, the ball flew close to the post. Despite the efforts of both teams, the score was not opened before the break.

Everything changed in the second half. After Kurbyka's mistake, Dinamo from Kyiv opened the score in the 48th minute. But this did not confuse Dinamo from Minsk. In the 56th minute, Kurnenin did a good free kick, and the ball flew into the home team's net. In the 67th minute, Prakapenka put his team ahead. A few minutes later, Kyiv player struck and our goalkeeper didn't hold the ball, Khlus, who ran in, hit the target and finished the moment - 2:2. The goalkeeper's second mistake led to a substitution: Viarheenka took the place at the goals.

It seemed that while the score was tied and the playing time was ending, Minsk would go on the defense and would prefer to add one point to their assets. However, most of the remaining it were Dinamo Kyiv who were defending. And Dinamo-Minsk was rewarded. Eight minutes before the final whistle, the guests played a "wall", and Kandratsieu scored the third goal. Surprisingly the victory with a minimum score did not satisfied Dinamo-Minsk. They still go forward, and again Kandratsieu led the atacks attack - after his header, the fourth ball almost got into the goal. Only the final whistle stopped Dinamo-Minsk that day.

Final score - 3:2. A very important victory and another bright bid for the championship: Dinamo-Minsk beat the champion on his field.

The next destination was Almaty. On July 23, 1982 it was the third match within seven days for our team. Viarheenka, Barouski, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski (Zyhmantovich, 70), Trukhan, Prakapenka, Hotsmanau (Rumbutis, 58), Pudyshau, Aleinikau, Hurynovich, Kandratsieu entered the field in Kazakhstan.

15 minutes after the start of the match, it was obvious that Dinamo took the initiative. Kurnenin had a very good chance to open the score, sending the ball into the top corner with a strong kick from a distance. Prakapenka also had a good opportunity to hit the goal. But in both cases, the goalkeeper of the Kairat team saved the team. In response, Almaty organized several sharp counterattacks. As a result of one of them, in the 30th minute, Biardyeu was alone a few meters from the goal and calmly sent the ball into the net.

6 minutes later Aleinikau, having received a pass from Prakapenka, beautifully threw the ball over the goalkeeper - 1:1. A draw remained on the scoreboard until the break.

At the beginning of the second half, a combination started by Pudyshau, and then continued by Hurinovich who broke through to the penalty area, and was accurately completed by Kandratsieu with an accurate kick.

A little more than a minute passed, the Almaty team restored the balance. Masudau, breaking through the line of defenders, sent the ball into the center of the penalty area, where Berdyeu without hesitation sent his second ball to the Viarheenka goal.

Dinamo-Minsk continued to attack. Kurnenin several times made the fans of the home team nervous. Hotsmanau received a yellow card for a tough game and disputes on the field. However, the score has not changed: 2-2. Despite this, Dinamo retained its leading position in the standings.
