    The BSSR Championship in the Soviet football was the competition among youth teams.

    And mainly reserve team of "Dinamo-Minsk" took part in the tournament.

    "Dinamo" 6 times became champions of the BSSR championship.

    Byelorussian SSR Cup tournament has been holding from 1936 to 1991. "Dinamo-Minsk" twice in its history became the owner of this cup: in the distant 1936 and 1940.

FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982

On August 7, 1982, Dinamo-Minsk hosted Ararat from Yerevan at home. The opponent was the first runner up after the team from Minsk.

Dynamo played with the same squad as the previous match: Viarheenka, Barouski, Kurnenin, Zyhmantovich (Shyshkin, 46), Trukhan, Prakapenka (Melnikau, 68), Hotsmanau, Pudyshau, Aleinikau, Hurynovich, Kandratsieu.

At first, the opponents seemed to be probing each other, looking for weaknesses in the defense. And the defense of the Yerevanians was very intense, and the hosts' attacks were drowned in it. The guests played the ball for a long time in their own half and rarely taking counterattacks. Already in the first minutes Kandratsieu could score three times. But the forward's inaccuracy and the good game of Ararat's defenders did not allow to open the score. In the 20th minute, Kandratsieu received the ball a few meters from the goals of Yeryvan, but the slightest delay was enough, and the moment was lost. By the end of the half, Dinamo caught their game and showed attacking, high-speed football. Unfortunately, none of the attacks led to a change in the score. A ball flew near the bar after Zyhmantovich's strike, then the same situation happened after Kurnenin's strike, Hotsmanau did not have enough time for a decisive blow. At the break, the teams left with zeros on the scoreboard.

 

Five minutes after the break, the leader of the Yerevan team, Hovhannisyan, could have scored. From close range, he dangerously struck his head, the home team was rescued by Viarheenka, who managed to get the ball in the bottom corner. Dinamo players finally woke up from about the 60th minute. The game revived after the substitutions. Instead of Zyhmantovich Shyshkin entered the field and took the place of the right-back, and Hotsmanau moved forward. Melnikau replaced Prakapenka. Hotsmanau brought sharpness to the attacks. Only a miracle saved the guests when the ball after Aleinikau's shot.

And finally, the hail of Dinamo attacks was crowned with success. In the 74th minute, Kandratsieu received a long pass, headed the ball to Hurynovich, who accurately shot into the bottom corner. However, just 3 minutes later, the guests responded. Hovhannisyan managed to beat two defenders (Trukhan and Borovsky) at the very goal line with a clever feint and gave a clear pass under the blow to Robert Galustyan.

In the last minutes, Dinamo rushed to attack, but haste obviously harmed accuracy. The result of the match 1:1, as in the first half of the Championship.
