FLASHBACK: CHAMPIONSHIP 1982

22.04.2022

Tomorrow our team will meet with Dnepr-Mogilev. And 40 years ago, on April 22, Dinamo hosted Chernomorets from Odessa in Minsk. Chernomorets that time was on the last line of the standings. The two-week break between matches was due to the preparation of the USSR national team for the World Cup in Spain.

Eduard Malofeeu determined the following lineup: Kurbyka, Trukhan, Kurnenin, Yanusheuski, Shyshkin (Zyhmantovich, 40), Prakapenka, Hotsmanau, Aleinikau, Melnikau, Kandratsieu, Vasileuski (Hurinovich, 53).

The lineup was noticeably different from the previous match. And many sports journalists started talking about the lack of teamwork. They also admitted that due to the opponent's low standings, Dinamo could have relaxed. In any case, the Minsk team did not play well in the first half: they called it inexpressive, they wrote that the team could not pick up speed, fuss and mistakes with handling the ball. All this resulted in a ball conceded at the 36th minute. It was the first goal scored by "Chernomorets" in this championship.

Immediately, Malafeeu made a substitution - instead of Shyshkin Zyhmantovich entered the field, the coach also rebuilt the defensive formations: Hotsmanau moved to the place of the right back. However, it was not a chance to change the score before the break.

In the second half the game was also rather difficult for Dinamo. At the 53rd minute, Vasileuski was replaced by Hurynovich, who only this morning returned to Minsk after playing in the USSR national team.

And in the last 15 minutes, a real struggle unfolded, which the fans in the stands were waiting for. On the 75th minute, Prakapenka took advantage of an accurate pass from Hurynovich. And on the 84th, Hurynovich himself completed Kurnenin's free kick with a header. The result of the match: 2:1, a real strong-willed victory was won, although the team was criticized for such a game against not dangerous opponent.

And already on April 26, Dinamo was waiting for Zenit in Minsk. And so far the standings looked like this:
