FAREWELL CEREMONY WITH YURY PUDYSHAU
Farewell cereminy with Yury Pudyshau took place today at the Dinamo National Olympic Stadium.
Relatives and friends of the football player, as well as teammates, fans and the Belarusian football community came to see Yury on his last journey. Farewell words were said by the chairman of the ABFF Uladzimir Bazanau, the announcer Leanid Bandarovich, as well as Eduard Malafeeu, Anatoli Baidachny, fans and colleagues.
Yury Pudyshau began his career in Moscow "Dynamo" in 1973, played in 13 matches for the bronze squad that year, scored 2 goals. In 1976 he moved to "Dinamo-Minsk". In 1982, with Pudyshau as the captain, our team became the champion of the USSR, and the next year won bronze medals. In 1984 he played one match for the main and Olympic teams of the USSR. As part of the "Dinamo-Minsk" Pudyshau took part in 300 matches in which he scored 40 goals.
Yury was one of the most charismatic and incredible players in the history of our football. His love for game number 1 still surprises many people.
The name of Yury Pudyshau will forever be inscribed in the history of our club in golden letters. An excellent football player and coach, a decent, intelligent and incredibly cheerful person. A broad soul and a huge heart, in which "Dinamo-Minsk" has always occupied a significant part.
Yuri Pudyshau was buried today in the village of Mikhanavichy.
