A legendary veteran of "Dinamo-Minsk" - Eduard Vasilyevich Malafeyeu today celebrates his 74th birthday. It is difficult to find a football fan from former Soviet Union and even more impossible to find "Dinamo-Minsk" fan, who wouldn't know anything about Edward Eduard Vasilyevich Malafeyeu!


Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Eduard Vasilyevich Malafeyeu as a player of our club has spent more than three hundred matches in various tournaments, and scored 117 goals, won the bronze medal in the championship of the USSR in 1963, played in the finals of the USSR Cup in 1965!

In the USSR team he won the silver medal of the European championship 1964 in Spain and took the 4th place at the 1966 World Cup in England.


Eduard Malafeyeu - a member of the Club of symbolic scorers named after Grigory Fedotov, uniting the Soviet players, who scored more than 100 goals at the highest level.


Under the leadership of Eduard Malafeyeu  - honored coach of the USSR and BSSR - Dinamo- Minsk " won the USSR championship in 1982 and won the bronze medal in 1983. Eduard Malafeyeu was a coach of the Olympic and national team of the USSR. Brought USSR national team to the group stage of the FIFA 1986 World Cup.


He headed the national team of Belarus. It was under the leadership of Eduard Malafeyeu our team achieved the best results in its history - in the qualifying round of the 2002 World Cup, our team stopped one step away from the play-offs, took 3rd place in the group.
