Siarhei Uladzimiravich Barouski -the true legend of Belarusian football and FC Dinamo-Minsk - today celebrates the 64th anniversary!

 

 

 

 

Siarhei Barouski is the author of a fantastic record - he spent the entire career of a football player in one same team - FC "Dinamo-Minsk", and took part in 457 matches, which is a unique and truly unique achievement!

 

 

The legendary defender is a graduate of Minsk SDYUSHOR-5. In 1972, Barouski began to play for the reserve team Dinamo-Minsk, and on July 25, 1974, for the first time appeared on the field as a part of the main squad of blue-whites. The meeting took place in Rostov-on-Don, against the local SKA. Since then, the defender has invariably played for the main team another 14 years! No one has played for Dinamo.

 

 

In 1982, Siarhei Barouski as a member of the Soviet Union team played at the World Cup in Spain and stopped just a step away from getting into the semifinals. Polish national team did not let the USSR national team go further. One of the episodes of the match with the participation of Siarhei Barouski and Zbigniew Bonek served as the plot for a postage stamp of the Central African Republic. A remarkable fact: in the history of the USSR, only three football players were honored to be shown on postage stamps - famous Igor Netto and Lev Yashin, and our Siarhei Barouski. In total, the legendary defender played in 21 matches for the USSR national team.

 

 

In 1989, Sergei Uladzimiravich began his coaching career. During 28 years, Barouski worked with the teams of: Maladzechna, Ventspils (Latvia), Sheriff (Moldova), Torpedo (Minsk), Kaunas (Lithuania), Metallurg (Zaporozhye, Ukraine), Belshina , Vetra (Lithuania), Dynamo Brest, Zhodzina Torpedo, SKVICH, FC "Vitebsk", BATE and Salihorsk "Shakhter". From July 15, 2016 to May 2, 2017, Siarhei Barouski was a head coach of FC "Dinamo-Minsk".

Twice he worked with the national team of Belarus, and won one of the most famous victories of Belarusian football - over the Netherlands team in 1995. Barouski also worked with the youth team of Kazakhstan.

As part of FC "Dinamo-Minsk", Barouski became the champion of the USSR in 1982. Moreover, in the same season, together with Hurynovich and Prakapenka, he got in the symbolic top team of the championship of the Soviet Union.
